I have been with downtown women for a few years and always have a new doctor or PA...now that I am pregnant it makes me wonder if I ever will see the same doctor. So I just want to see if anyone had thoughts on the doctors at DW.
I had been with them for a couple of years but also always saw someone different and didn't love any of them. I felt rushed each time when i had questions. The part that did it for me and led me to find a different practice was when the front office staff was chit chatting about a patient who miscarried as if they weren't sitting in the middle of a waiting room at an ob/gyn's office.
I was so offended by that (this was even long before i started TTC) that i posted a review on yelp. I'd never done that before. In their defense, i did see that plenty of women had more postivie experiences.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I've been going since May. They've seen me through a miscarriage and a somewhat complicated second pregnancy (thus far). I've seen most of the doctors there, so if you aren't comfortable bouncing from one to another that can be bad, but one is my "official" OB for the pregnancy.
For the record, I've seen one doc for three appts ("official" OB), and had ultrasounds with 3-4 others (including the midwife, who you see at 10 wks-ish). But all knew exactly what my history was, I was never asked the same question twice.
BFP #1 5/1/10, missed mc dx 6/4/10
BFP #2 8/5/10, baby boy arrived 4/25/11
I LOVE this practice!! Before I got pregnant, I saw the same GYN every time I went. Then I got pregnant and saw all of the OB's. I liked them all but had a strong preference for two of them (the two that ended up being there for L&D!). My labor and delivery was awesome. Dr. Min got me through most of it and Dr. Goodstein finished up (shift changed before I pushed). They were both amazing. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.
I will say that I am the type of person who likes to be in and out of places quickly so I wasn't looking for a doctor or practice that was long-winded. I thought they were perfect for me in this respect.
LOVE!!!!!! been going for a few years and just had my first baby with them. Amazing. U see 5 doctors throughout your pregnancy, u get to know them well since u are always there. 1 of which will deliver. All 5 are awesome. I really can't say enough wonderful things about dtw for having a baby.
I love them. I was nervous about who I would get for delivery - Dr. Min and Goodstein were my favorites. I ended up with Dr. Tham. I felt a little rushed during appts with her so I was a bit disappointed, but I cannot say enough good things about her during my labor & delivery. To make a long story short, she saved me from having a c-section. I was in labor for 50 hrs and she was so incredibly supportive, reassuring, and encouraging. In the end she got my daughter out with forceps after 3 hrs of pushing. She was with me every second. At one point I was crying for a c-section and she made me calm down and think it through. She said a section would be faster for her but that it would be more difficult for me in the long run. I really felt like she listened to me. I love her! And all of the other doctors seemed to have a similar mentality.
