Re: does anyone have a stash consisting of all different diapers?

  • Yep.  We have gdiapers (which we don't use anymore), FB, RaR, BB, one GroVia, one Kawaii (which doesn't fit well) one KL Marvel, one BK, and some KL fitteds.

  • My stash was a bunch of random different diapers until I found what really worked best for us.  I've now wittled things down to 4 different kinds of diapers that are my favorites (GroVia, Applecheeks, BG Elemental & Thirsties Duo Diapers) and have sold off the rest.
  • Yes, our stash is various types.  I am trying out a lot of different things right now.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.
  • I'm just starting too. I have: BG, FB, KL, Kawaii, Smartipants, and GroVia in my current stash. Can't wait to try more.

Me too.  Our favorites are BG pockets and Flip.  The rest I sold off to make things easier for DH and my mom who babysits.

  • Absolutely - we have a total mix. I'm glad I tried different things to know what I liked, but I wish I hadn't gotten so MANY of certain things without first using them for a while.

I have like 8 GM/B4's now and the only time I would choose to use them is for coverless time...I bought them as overnight dipes but don't love them for that anymore. But what you like changes over time - initially (post newborn stash) I really disliked pockets but now like them a lot (both FB & BG).

  • Yup. We have a big mix.  Some worked better when DD was little, some work best now.  Others we use when traveling and still others we reserve for overnights.  We've got HH, FB, BG, RaR and Monkey Snuggles pocket diapers; a dozen GMD prefolds and Thirsties, Gen-Y and wool covers; GMs and B4s and one BRSB with lots of wool longies and some GroVia shells and biosoakers for vacation away from laundry facilities.

  • Agree with PP about using different types and brands for different occasions.
  • Yup. I decided to do my own trial instead of using Jillian's Drawers or the like. I mean, if you buy mostly secondhand diapers the resale value can be just as good to get back as much as you spent.

We have a combination of prefolds, AIOs, and fitteds for the NB phase and some pockets to try once baby hits size smalls. I figure we'll figure out from there what we like and would prefer to continue with.
