Recall: Hyland's Teething Tablets

October 25, 2010: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced today that the manufacturer of Hyland's Teething Tablets has issued a voluntary recall on all of its teething tablets, due to a potential poison risk to children. The recall comes largely in response to several reported cases of children who either ingested too many tablets at once (due to the bottle's lack of child restraint caps) or the fact that the tablets themselves consisted of too much belladonna, a substance that can cause adverse affects on the body if taken in large doses.
