older infant poop question

Lo's been having green poops for the past few days.  He's not napping well either, but he's pretty happy.  He's had a runny nose.  Virus perhaps?  Not sure here.  Still BF'd but he's eating solids.  Any thoughts?  Should I call the pedi?

Re: older infant poop question

  • It's probably due to the introduction of solids.  As long as there isn't mucus or blood in them, I wouldn't be worried, especially if he's been eating a lot of green veggies.

  • He's been on solid foods for a few months now.  We're moving off of purees and onto table foods though.  Would that make a difference?

  • Since doing table foods his poops have been basically every color you can think of (except maybe blue, heh). Different foods could definitely have an effect on his poop. Ours have been less explosive too, they're like soft mushy semi-solid blobs now.
