I'm so guilty of this. DS is asleep in my arms and just started doing this...its so gross! Someone tell me i shouldnt be pckng it off!! i cant help it. TIA!
Actually my pedi recommended mixing baby oil and sugar together and pretty much doing a facial on LO's head in the bath. Then use a fine comb to finish afterwards. My DD had cradle cap pretty bad and it was completely gone in 3 days Hope this helps.
You and my DH! Goodness. Here, I'll show you what picking it can do, or at least what it did to my little Annabelle. Once she had a whole head full of hair.... and now... Now she has this...

OMG! I didn't get that far into taking it off, just a few pieces that were already peeling off. I stopped too! thanks for the warning!

haha My DH and mom were ALL about picking it. It drove me nuts. It was to the point that I'd come home and find a small pile of her hair on the floor cos DH got out of control! Ugh. At least its all gone and she's not losing anymore hair, but it looks SO horrible and patchy. hahaha I feel bad for her.

Seriously! That was my mom and DH's platform too. That her hair wasnt growing because of the cradle cap, so they had to get rid of it...

Ooooh I'm going to try this! I've been dealing with cradle cap for MONTHS. It's gotten better, but will not go away!
We did olive oil on his head an hour before bath time and then used his soft bristled baby brush to lightly scrub his head in the bath. It only took two times to completely get rid of it, and there was marked improvement after only once.
Re: Picking cradle cap help!
I put baby oil on DD's head yesterday. It isn't gone but it isn't as nasty....it looks MUCH better. I couldn't stand it anymore.

Guilty here as well
Pedi told us to use a tiny bit of Head and Shoulders when we wash her hair. It's almost all gone now
