Yes, we just had her Halloween Party on Sat night and me, dh and dd went. She has a parade on Friday and I will go to it. I am actually going to drop her off for school at 8 and stay and help the teacher and aide get everything set up.
Yes, if the parents are invited, we make an effort to attend. They really just do a Christmas party, though. They are having a Halloween party this week, but it is just for the kids.
At DS1's first school, I did once (thanksgiving lunch). I had to go back to work after and he freaked out when I tried to leave. For the christmas "show" I hid in the back. He was 2so he didn't know I was/wasn't there.
At the school they're at now, the events are family parties and they would both notice if we weren't there. Thankfully, they also hold them in the late afternoon, so when the party is over we all go home together.
He just goes Wed and Thurs, but all the kids are invited Fri for the Halloween party, so I am taking him to that. They also have a birthday ceremony/celebration for each kid and I went to his last week and ate lunch there. I stay at home and his preschool is right in the neighborhood, so it is easy to go to events there.
We attend all the evening parties. Ds's school had a family fun night last week, for example. He has a Halloween party this Friday where the parents can help out with the games, etc that I am missing though since it would be impossible to help with DS2 there. I ran into the same thing the week prior for a cider mill field trip where siblings weren't invited. Fortunately, a friend of mine helped me out and watched DS2 for a few hours so I could go.
I don't go to the classroom ones, unless all the other parents are, mostly because DS and I usually have commitments. We don't usually take DD to school stuff on weekends. She is only going to this school for 1 year, then will go to the elementary school for our community. She has had a bit of a hard time switching from the school she went to last year, so I want to spend the time keeping up with those kids, since she will go to the same school with them next year again.
This is DD first year in pre-K and if parents are invited I will make all efforts to come. I work FT but thankfully my employer is flexible with this stuff. For example on Wednesday parents can come to the Halloween parade. I'll just take my lunch at that time and go (luckily I work only 25 mins. away).
It all depends. At my younger DD's preschool (center based), they do a lot of the holiday parties at 4pm and the whole family is invited. We go to a lot of those. For the rare stuff that they do during the day, it really depends on my work schedule and if I can sneak away for a short time. For Halloween, they are doing a parade to the different classrooms at 10am and I can't go. My older DD is in PreK which is at the elementary and this is the 1st year. For Halloween, they are having a party with games and such and need parent volunteers. The party is over my lunch break so I might be able to run over for a short time but can't stay for the whole party and honestly, she will enjoy it more if I'm not there as when I am there (such as when I went on a field trip for her class) she just wants to be with me and not with her friends - she is just at that age I think. I honestly have not decided if I am going to show up at her party at not.
I do try and get to things for both the kids at school whenever possible though. It is just really hard with the kids being at 2 different places and with working full time. My ILS have gone to the grandparent events and my DH will be able to go to more things once he starts his new job next week which will help us get to more stuff during the day.

Re: If your DC goes to preschool.. Do you attend

Yes. In fact, their Halloween party is this Friday morning and includes trick or treating at a neighbor's house, and it is my house they are using
