Ear piercing for DD?

Where did you or would you get your dd's ears pierced?  If I can hold her off a few more weeks we can go to the Sassy Salon, but it is about 45 min away and would rather wait until we go see santa and do both trips in one.  Have you done Claires or Piercing Pagoda?  Do they usually have 2 people working so it can be done at once?

I took DD to Claires. She was a baby when I had it done.

I will say, if you go and do it when you do Santa, I would do the Santa pics first and have a sucker or some treat to give her immediately after.

That was the though.  I took her to get the flu shot today and she didnt even wince, and she said she really wante her ears pierced after since the flu shot was "super cool"  Strange, I know, but I wanted to wait to see how she reacted to the shot and she blew it off and said it would hurt like that but in hers ears..so I guess she is ready!

I would call your PP or Claires and ask them specifically when/if they can do it at the same time b/c I would assume it can vary.  I have not pierced DDs ears yet but I had mine done at Spencers 33 years ago, lol and had my second ones done at PP when I was 11.  Honestly I would not even know where else to get them done.

I would have my pediatrician do it.  They do it at our office.

DD got hers done @ 3 yrs old because she kept insisting.  I told her it would hurt a little and she said she was "big enough now".  We did it at our dr's office.  They only prob was they don't do both at the same time so she was great for the 1st one and didn't want the other one done.  There was another nurse there to help thankfully.

We did Claire's.  They recommended calling ahead to make sure 2 people were there, so that's what we did.  DD was 3 1/2 and didn't even flinch.

I took my DD to Sharkey's, which is a hair salon for kids.  They pierce both at the same time.  She had it done for her 3rd birthday.

You can get it done at the pediatrician's. I personally prefer that option.

We wanted to do ML's when she was a newborn.  It's pretty much a rite of passage for Asian baby girls. But, we put it off, then I felt it was too late (she would have struggled too much), so we never did it.  We will probably pierce this baby's ears early, so ML has said she wanted to do it at the same time.
