Hi Ladies,
My DD is 6 months old tomorrow and we look like we are going to have problems fitting her into her diapers sooner than later. She is currently about 30-31 inches tall (over the 95th percentile for height) and about 18 - 19 lbs. We are using BG 3.0 and FB OS. Already she is all the way to the biggest setting on the rise for the BG 3.0 and on the FB she is on setting 3 for elastic in the legs. I wanted to try to stay with BG since we are using them for daycare and I know they like the velco.
For those of you who may have purchased the 4.0 BG are they significantly taller in the rise? For those of you using BG 3.0 or 4.0 how tall is your LO and still fitting into them? Otherwise does anyone have any recs on other tall kid diapers I should be looking at? She's pretty skinny so I have a feeling getting something with a tall rise that doesn't gap at the legs is going to be a challenge. Thanks for the help!
Re: What diapers work for tall babies?
My son was on the largest setting for his BG 3.0s from about 6 months on. He has always been in the 90th percentile for height and about 30 for weight. He lasted until 16 months in them, and then we bought FB mediums. Recently I bought BG 4.0's and they are great. The height is about and inch higher in the rise. They will last til Potty training.
THey grow fast in the first 6 months, they slow down after a year.
I would stick with velcro if you want to get the legs tight enough.
hth I would just buy a 4.0 and compare, they will last you unless your DD is a giant
