My 2-wk-old son weighed 6 lbs 6 oz at birth; the one-size diapers we have were way too big. Even the newborn-size Huggies we got from the hospital were too big or just not cut right and leaked every time. A friend sent us some XS pro-wrap covers and newborn-size prefolds and they leak. Any suggestions for getting them to contain the liquid (maybe we need to wash them more to soften and absorb more, I don't know)? Or for something that fits the little guy? It's not like he's a preemie, it seems like an XS should fit; XS Fuzzi Bunz seem way too big, too. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

FB are cut bigger, so the XS might start to fit soon, but I'm not surprised it's too big (it took 3 months for the size SM to fit our son who was 8lb at birth).
Are you using a snappi with your prefolds? That will really help contain things. I wasn't fond of Proraps covers, but maybe a different cover will suit you better. Bummis or Thirsties covers are ones I recommend. Fitteds in XS should work well to contain things when paired with a well-fitting cover. I like Thirsties fitteds, but they aren't really available anymore. Kissaluvs are also popular, but didn't work well for us.
