Camcorder

We would like to buy a camcorder to record all our fun upcoming homemovies with the baby coming in the $350-$400 price range that is "consumer friendly" and easy to use. Any suggestions? I've checked out cnet for consumer reviews, but I'd like some personal opinions!

I would suggest the Sony Handycam that records to DVD's. This way you can watch it on the television or plug the camera into the computer and make a disc of multiple files or put them on an external hard drive and save them forever. Plus, then you have plenty of back ups and there will never be an "oops! I taped over the babies first steps!"
