We've decided on these curtains from Pottery Barn https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/dot-blackout-panel/?pkey=bwindow-panels
My question is should I order the length that will just cover the window or the length that goes down to the floor? What is everyone's preference?
Thanks!
Re: Curtain length?
To the floor, hung high and wide for sure! Makes the room feel taller as well as the windows wider and brighter. IMO this always looks better. I also prefer my curtains to touch the floor (not slightly above) or even billow on the floor. Check home decor sights for examples. The billowing makes them a little easier to hang since there is no pressure on getting that exact measurement. If you prefer them to hit the floor exactly, iron on hem tape (Heat 'n Bond) can be a lifesaver!
We used curtain clips to hang ours in the nursery just as an added safety precaution. We also made sure not to position the crib within arms reach of them.
Thanks for this tip! We don't have our crib yet but the way I was thinking about setting up the room would make the curtains within reach of the crib.

Just something to think about here...
Our floor length curtains are currently tied in a knot (and looking quite ridiculous) because they quickly became one of DS's favorite things to pull up with. If I could do it again, I would not have chosen floor length curtains!
