I am considering starting a registry earlier to space it out. Is there a way to register at Babies R Us but not make the registry "public?" Anyone know? I feel like I heard that once...
yes, you can start it private and "open" it to the public when you are ready.
I know you can do this at target - but I've never seen this option at BRU. Are you sure?
I do know of people who have purposely misspelled their name to keep people from finding their registry, and then just fixed it when they were ready to go public.
FWIW, I started mine pretty early and to the best of my knowledge, nobody looked for it until shower invites went out.

BBB wouldn't let me put it online but private; the only way to keep it private was not to put it online (but then you can't edit it online either). Not sure about BRU.
We have one for BRU....I couldn't figure out how to make it private, so I created a fake name for now and will change it when we're ready for it to go public.
