CD & FF babies

I am supplementing my LO's feedings every once in a while with formula. I know that EBF babies' poop is totally water-soluble, but will having him have formula a few times change the way I need to wash the dipes (prefolds at this point)? TIA!!

  • Nope. I was them like normal.

  • My LO's poop often doesn't look any different than it did when he was EBF, but I still rinse them in the toilet just in case. Plus, I think it cuts down on stains.

  • E has been FF since 3 weeks. If its ploppable I plop and if its not it goes in the pail and washes like normal. No staining problems here but I do hang to dry.

  • I'm a supplementing BFer and I use a sprayer JIC.  As anmorgan said, rinsing really does cut down on the stains.

  • I supplemented up to 3 months, then completely FF.  We did not rinse any of our dipes (prefolds and then BGs), just washed them poop and all and I have no stains what so ever on my diapers.

  • In the beginning LO was EBF, then I had to supplement, now she is just FF. I've always rinsed the diapers just to cut down on stains but you don't have to. Even if LO is 100% FF, you can just put the diapers in the wash as is (until they start solids).
