Peg Perego car seat and stroller

looking for some reviews on the peg products

Most of my friends have the chicco keyfit30 and love it, but no one has a peg perego.

Originally we had registered for the chicco keyfit in "romantic" and the baby jogger city mini in crimson. I love the city mini but when I went to buybuy baby to test it out with the infant car seat adapter and the chicco I was so disappointed to find that the sun shade can not be pulled up with the car seat in, so the baby is almost completely exposed (kind of a deal breaker for me).?

unfortunately we started back at square one; the only other carseat/stroller combo we liked was the Peg Perego car seat with the Peg Vela stroller in Java. The vela seems very similar to the city mini- lightweight, easy to fold, three wheels... The car seat is slightly heavier and a little trickier to latch onto the base but I don't know how much of a difference that will make in the grand scheme of things.

I have the Graco snugride 22 with the Peg Perego Pliko P3 and loved the combo together.  The Snugride gets great reviews, isn't heavy, and the sun shade pulls down very far.  The P3 has a huge sun shade and when used with the car seat the entire baby can be covered pulling the sun shades down together.  The snug ride doesn't snap into the stroller, but comes with a strap you can use to secure it.  I never used it, the car seat fit perfectly was was very secure.  I'm not sure about the other Peg strollers, but I'd assume they have similar sun shades- they are very solid nice strollers!!  The Peg car seat is very nice too, but costs a lot more and is heavier.  Sorry I don't actual reviews on what you are looking at, but thought I'd give you another option.

We have a maxi-cosi car seat and loved until our LO outgrew it.  Easy to get in and out and not too heavy.  We have a bumbleride so it is not compatible, but I wasn't looking for that anyways. 

Have you thought about just getting a carseat carrier?

Have you tried the City Mini with the Peg Perego car seat?  I'm pretty sure they are compatible. 

I have the PP car seat and I'm very happy with it.  While it's a little heavier, I think it's a very high quality car seat.  I never had a problem snapping it into the base.  I used it with the PP Skate stroller with DD1 and will use it again with a BOB duallie, as well as the Skate.

I am similar to lenders.  Did the snugride with the Peg Perego Si and it was a hit.  The Si also has a honkin shade and easy fold.  I love Pegs but I wouldn't go with a Vela, quality is different.
