I would guess 1 or 2 pounds, if even that. I've lost about 7-8 pounds since I got pregnant. At my last appointment, my doctor wasn't too concerned, but said I'll probably start gaining a little more here in the next couple of weeks.
Can we stop the comparison posts pretty pretty please? I don't see what good they do.
I suppose this is a fruitless effort, huh?
I second this! Also, it's pretty meaningless unless people post their starting weight and height.
And their doctors recommendation AND the weight they loss due to m/s AND their activity level pre and post baby makin' AND a host of other information...

I don't understand why anyone cares how many pounds a stranger has gained. It's not like the question is EVER followed up by, "What body type did you have pre-pregnancy?" Or, "What was your doctor's recommendation?" Or, "What is your activity level?"
If I gained 5 pounds at 18 weeks and was a super active fatty to begin with, and you gained 10 pounds at 18 weeks and were skinny and lazy to begin with, you should not compare your weight gain with mine. So stop asking.
These posts are so ridiculous and arbitrary and if you are using them to make yourself feel better you are silly. I have gained over 30 pounds (gasp) and I can still fit into some of my pre-pregnancy clothes. Hi I'm quesera, I'm pregnant and I love carbs.

Yes, this.
I agree, it can make people feel bad also about their weight gain compared to others.

Right, and I've gained about 10 and will probably never be able to look at my pre-pregnancy clothes ever again. We're all different.
This is not to say that underneath all of my pre pregnancy clothes there aren't new levels of cellulite lurking and I will probably never see my old thighs again!
I HAD gained 6.5 at 18 weeks, but I'm now at 30 weeks (almost) and have gained 18-19. It picked up speed big time between 21-25 weeks.
PS- Oh, and I find weight posts interesting. I don't know why people get all spazzy about them. But I also don't think weight should be such a taboo and think it's unfortunate that some people are so uncomfortable with the topic. My friends and I talk about nutrition, weight, exercise, on a regular basis and I don't know why I would stop now. It also doesn't make me feel bad to see people who have gained less or better to see people who have gained more. I do find the comparison interesting, though, and think it's neat how different it is for everyone.
According to Fertility Friend, the average weight gain at this point is 8-15 pounds. But if you are concerned about your weight gain, go to https://www.indiacurry.com/women/pregcalc.htm where you can put in your height and weight.
Our active toddler:
Born March 14, 2011
Excited for version 2.0:
BFP- 10/8/12
EDD: June 21, 2013
At 15 weeks: +13 pounds total. My OB said to keep an eye on the scale.
At 18 weeks: +17 pounds total
Currently: +19 pounds total
To put it in context, I was 40 pounds overweight pre-pregnancy. I do pilates (on a reformer) 2x/week and walk 2-3x/week. I had a doctor's appt. three days ago & my OB was fine with my weight gain thus far despite the earlier rec to "keep an eye on things". He said that if I continue at my current pace I will still be within the range he recommends.
