DD1 had her first preschool field trip today. They wanted one parent of each child to come along, but if neither parent could make it, they would still take the child. Only a couple kids didn't have parents today, and one of the little girls got assigned to me. I took a bunch of pictures of her on the field trip. I was thinking about either putting them on a disk for her mother (I sometimes see her at drop offs) or offering to email them to her. DH says that's weird and asked how would I feel if somebody said "here's a disk of pictures of your kid". I think I'd feel appreciative if I couldn't have been there, but WDYT?
Re: Weird or not?
Not weird at all.
I posted all of the field trip pics on our preschool FB page, and the moms that couldn't go all thanked me.

Totally not weird. I'm totally appreciative when I receive pictures of my child on a field trip because sometimes they limit the amount of chaperones and you don't get picked. So it's nice to see what they did on the field trip and then I put those pictures into their photo albums.
So don't listen to your husband and give her copies of the pictures.
