DH and I are team green, and having a terrible time with names. The boys name that keeps coming up is Bram. Middle name for a boy will be Thomas for DH. Thoughts? TIA!
Since you are in the US this may not matter, but there is a well-known and well-loved Canadian children's folk group called Sharon, Lois, & Bram..... that's where my mind (and DH's, when I asked him) went immediately. So that name has a pretty strong association (and probably would for most other Canadians) but it's not a bad one.
I guess technically now I should be SecondBabyMomma
I was wondering if the Sharon, Lois, Bram "Elephant Song" connection would come up, but I haven't heard anything about them since I was a kid 20 years ago. Think it's a deal killer?
P.S., Glad you guys like it overall, I was a little nervous since I know how honest you all are!

I honestly have NO idea who "Sharon, Lois, Bram" are.

There is a bumpie with the most handsome little boy named Bram (Manderlin).
Bram Thomas sounds nice.
Agreed!
Aw, shucks Thanks!
OP, obviously I like the name. And I loved Sharon, Lois & Bram when I was younger lol....
ETA: OP- are you pronouncing it like Bomb with an r or like Sam? If the former then I think Thomas is too rhymey with it. If the latter then it's a great combo!

I grew up with Sharon, Lois, and Bram and love them!
OP: I really like the name Bram! Good choice!
Oh that just brought back a ton of childhood memories!
Skinnimarinky dinky dink....
It's probably really sad if I know all the hand movements...right?
OP, FWIW I like Bram. I think I like it more as a nn for Abraham, though. But I like it nonetheless.
No, I still know all the hand movements by heart! Also, when I opened the video link and it started playing my DH started singing and doing the hand movements too.
Re: Bram?
Agreed!

Not terribly appealing as a name.

I also think of Sharon, Lois and Bram. Not a bad association, though.
I kind of like it. Probably because I also like Abrahm/Abram.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.

I had totally forgotten about Sharon, Lois and Bram! Were they the ones with "the elephant song"?! Watched that all the time with my little brother.
I think it's a good name though!

Pronounced like Sam. Do you get a lot of S,L, & B references w/ your little guy?

No, I don't. I have heard that more on this board than irl. I don't think anyone irl has ever said anything about it to me.
I hope this name doesn't get too popular- I've seen it on this board two times in the last two days
