Hell no. I fall asleep better when I go to bed before him. I'm able to get really comfy. He has to roll me over sometimes when he comes in but I never wake up.

Yes! It's pretty bad actually, because DH is a night owl (and I am NOT) so I'm always up too late. I may as well just stay up, since I know I won't sleep even if I go to bed. Sometimes he has to put in really long days at work and doesn't get home until midnight or later - and those are really rough!
LOL, while talking about DD's sleep with my mom, she said that they had a really hard time getting me to fall asleep on my own. DH said "I'm not sure that you ever succeeded!"

Sometimes. If he's gone for the night and I know he's not coming home I'm usually okay. On nights when he has hockey and is getting home late I can almost never fall asleep until he gets home.

I was just talking to my mom about this. DH is gone from this lst Wednesday until Monday. And I hate it! I hate sleeping alone. He used to work nights when DD was a baby nd it was okay then because I had her in bed with me and I was getting up to nurse and all that, but now that she is in her room when he is gone I feel so lonely. I stayed up until 2am this morning because I couldn't fall asleep without him.

DH has been working the night shift the past 3 nights, so I had no choice but to sleep alone. The first night I didn't sleep so well. I woke up a few times. Last night I slept really good. I was tired though. DH will not be working nights anymore (it was a one time deal). Although DH will be deer hunting soon, and will be done for a few days. So, I guess this week was good practice?

Nope. Honestly, if we had the room for separate bedrooms I would have them. DH snores like a damn chainsaw and if I'm not already asleep by the time he falls asleep, it takes me hours to pass out (usually angry). He's tried the strips and they don't work, and he refuses to go to a doctor about it, so I just deal by hitting him with pillows until he rolls over and quiets down.
Contemplating the snow.

I don't sleep well when he's not in the house, but like night's when he's sick & stays in the guest room? HEAVEN. I spread out & get all the pillows & covers to myself.

Deer season is rough on me, too. I get so lonely at night! Plus, I use DH as my back support in bed. I just can't get comfy without him to lean on.
I get my best sleep when he isn't next to me hogging all the covers.
I hear ya on that one. DH works nights most of the time so I got used to it very quickly. I just hate when he gets home and I am already asleep and he wakes me up.

We have the same problem. Except he did go to the doctor but he refuses to use the machine. So nothing has changed. I wear earplugs to bed every night as a result. And now I can't sleep at all unless I'm wearing them, even if he's not around.

Hell no, I sleep much better when he's not there farting, flopping, swishing, coughing, hacking, snoring, hoggin, pulling, and all the other things he does. Sorry, honey!
Re: Do you have trouble falling asleep when DH is not in bed with you?
My baby is two!!! Baby girl 9/17/09
My other baby is still a baby! Baby Boy 11-30-11
Lol I'm the opposite. I have trouble falling asleep when he's IN bed with me - because he's rolls around a lot and snores.
Before when he used to work nights, I hated sleeping alone and always woke up a lot.
I can't sleep if he's not in the house. I can fall asleep if he's in the house but don't sleep well unless he's next to me.
When I travel, I get probably 2-3 hours of sleep. It sucks.

It's kind of a toss-up.

I actually sleep better when he's not there. I can sleep right in the middle of the bed with all the pillows and blankets to myself.
