I took DD's 12-month pictures yesterday. Yes, she's more than 13 months old. But dammit I made it all the way through months 1-11 taking her monthly pictures, and I'm not about to admit defeat about month 12! I couldn't bring myself to fake the ones with the sign that say "today I'm 12 months old" with the date, but I did put the last sticker on her and took her outside pics.

I feel a little bad they are "fake" 12-month pics . . . but mostly I feel good that I now have a complete set.

I never got around to taking DD's 12 month picture. I have 0-11, but no 12. Sad

I'm working from home right now because commuting into UT would eat up about 2 hours of my already short day.  However, when my MIL comes for three. freaking. weeks over Christmas and New year, you bet your ass I'm going into the office everyday.  Ugh.  I'm already dreading it.

No - not again!  Eek.  I feel for you!

Feisty - my MIL is coming for at least 2 weeks over Thanksgiving.  If you can keep me sane, I can keep you sane over Christmas. :)

  • LOL.  I guess I can see where yall are coming from on that one.  I guess I consider sports teams to be more a thing of local pride (like a kid wearing a Texas shirt) where I consider the cartoon garb just overt commercialization.  And okay, I think it looks tacky.

    Buuuut .... point taken.  ;)

::zips up flameproof suit, even though this is FF::

I HATE hate HATE when people call their children monkeys, things or peanuts.  I also still hate tickers that are less than 4 weeks pregnant.  Um, seriously?

    ::runs for cover::

Haha... DH calls DS a monkey. Annnd see sig :)

I can not stand character clothing (Winnie the Pooh, Cars, Elmo, etc.) Specifically, on kids who are too little to choose that for themselves.  When DS is a little older and is totally freaking obsessed with some character and ASKS for a shirt with so-and-so on it, fine, I'll deal, I'm not going to burst his bubble.  But I don't get putting that stuff on little ones.

YES!  I hate character clothing, character food (yogurt, cereal, granola bars, trail mix, etc, etc. etc).  I hate that I have to be the bad mom to say NO to the Dora yogurt.

I have so many people on Facebook that I absolutely cannot stand.  But I don't delete them because then I would miss all their posts and I wouldn't be able to make fun of them anymore.

I do this too!!!  I feel somewhat bad about it but I am so darn nosy at the same time and want to know all the gossip!

  • I forgot to feed Rhett breakfast yesterday. Yep, Mom of the year. We were going to the Y for the first time, so I fed the babies before he got up and had his ready to go into the car for him to eat on the way there. We were halfway there before I realized I had left it at home so I had to give him a slice of lemon jello cake that I had left (fresh and in a baggie) in the car when I unloaded it the night before.Oops!

  • Haha about the "totes" thing, Chicklit. I saw someone use it on here once and said it in front of my DH to try it out. Since, then, he's said it like three times. Oh.no. Indifferent I also don't like it when he says paci. It's just weird coming from a straight man.

  • I agree with the character thing...

Unfortunately,  my DH and in-laws do not.  They took DD out and bought her (or "let her pick out") a Foofa costume.  The pink thing from Yo Gabba Gabba.  They think it looks "SO CUTE"!

Well, it's not as cute as the zebra costume I made that she WILL be wearing on Halloween! Stick out tongue

I think I'll let her wear Foofa to school and hope that it will get accidentally spilled on or torn or something...
