Wedding venue related : WWYD?

This is a quick ? as Im off to bed but please let me know your thoughts.
There is a gorgeous venue about 15min from my house, pictures can be taken on site, I love it and its simple and best of all, VERY affordable.
My SO's best friend got married there 2 years ago, we attended and we are all still very close.
Is it rude of us to ask them if they mind us getting married at the same venue?? (Were not engaged but we are planning/saving/hoping to get a wedding on the way soon. $$ is the main issue...which is why this venue is so appealing.)

Not rude at all IMO...
Ask but I don't think it's rude. BF just got married and had reception the same place we used 4 years ago. Bad part they had a bad experience b/c of new management and owners so now we don't want to go back for dinner like we used to once a year!
