My mom bought some stuff for our flight and dropped it off tonight. Apparently she think my almost 2 yo is still a little baby. She got several newborn and small baby toys; she also got a couple baby picture books with that are all the flap books, etc. And they are all labeled "Baby X" kinda funny - we'll end up regifting most of it!
Re: more funny grandma stories!
I think it was nice to think about getting her some stuff for the trip. While she may be out of touch with what Ella may be into, I think it was a thoughtful gesture.
That's what I thought too.
But giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she thought that the items she got would slip easily in your carry on and even though they may not be age appropriate since they are new they would hold LOs interest???
LOL!
My ILs just visited and brought LJ 2 pairs of fleece 18 month pajamas. Um, he is still wearing 3-6 and like one pair of 6-9. There's no way he will be in 18 mo by this winter...and will likely be too small next winter. It was nice of them to pick them up - but just call and ask his size first! I mean, they aren't even close. :P
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
Funny! My MIL is still buying clothes too big, although DH has told her repeatedly (when she asks) what size he is.
oh - yes, very kind, all w/ the best of intentions. She was sweet to think of us and go out of her way and I do totally appreciate it. And, would never say a word to her or almost anyone about it anyway. I just thought it was a funny "grandma" type story that other moms could appreciate.
