Anyone know how to make burp cloths? Do you just sew whatever fabric you want down the center strip of a cloth diaper? I have some that have minky fabric down the middle and would love to be able to make some more.

Re: Burp cloth pattern?
Here are a couple I have used and loved each kind:
Sorry. I don't know how to make clicky links

I do mine slightly different. For the decorative side, I buy a fat quarter in a fabric I like and cut it in half (I can make two rags from one fat quarter). For the absorbant side I use chenille (I think that's what it's called). Jo-Ann Fabric carries it. It's basically like a really thick, ribbed bath towel or bath robe.
It's $12.99 a yard but I never buy it unless I have a 40 or 50% off coupon. You can make quite a few burp rags out of just 1 yard of this stuff.
I sew the two together, right sides facing, leaving a small hole to turn inside out. Then do a top stitch all around the edges, sealing the hole. It works best if you put the chenille with the "ribs" going left to right, vs. up and down...helps with spit up not running down the rag onto your clothing.
I have been making these for years for all my friends having babies and everyone raves about how fabulous they are at catching and absorbing spit up.
