I was curious to see the total amount of weight you gained throughout your pregnancy while carrying your twins. I am 5'1 and I a m concerned about how much weight my body can handle as m pre-pregnancy weight was approx 128 lbs.
I am 5'2", and my pre-preg weight was 120. I gained 40 pounds with my pregnancy, and went to 37w3d, and was on bedrest (because my body was WORN OUT...but I am on my feet for work- elementary school teacher - so that didn't help) from 26 weeks on.
I'm 5ft and about 105. I probably gained 50 lbs but a chunk of it was water weight due to pre-eclampsia at the end. My "regular" gain was probably closer to 35-40 lbs. All and all I felt pretty good and was only on bedrest after about 31w, again due to pre-e.
I'm 5'0 with a pre-pregnancy weight of about 120 lbs. So far, I've gained 20 lbs., all of that since the start of my 2nd trimester (I lost 10 lbs. first tri due to wicked morning sickness). My doctor said she expected that I'd end up between 30 and 40 lbs. of weight gain depending on how far I make it.
I'm 4'10'', was 93 lbs pre-pregnancy. I gained 35 pounds and delivered at 36w0d. My LOs were 4 lbs 9 oz and 4 lbs 2 oz. No NICU time needed, just observation in the special care nursery for 6 hours after their birth.
After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks.
Thank you all for great insight. It really lessons my fear of not being able to carry to term but as i am seeing it is being done. And all of your weight gain seems very manageable for me.
I am 5ft and started at 125lbs. I gained about 35 lbs. Both my boys were 5 lbs 12 oz and they were born at 36w0d. They were born early due to pre-eclampsia. A week after they were born my weight had dropped to 119lbs.

I haven't had my twins yet but I am 5"2 and started at 120 for my singleton. I gained 55 lbs!! I am trying to gain the same for my twins which is a little scary. I lost it all but not without stretchmarks/ excess belly skin that came with gaining that weight.
I'm 5'3" and pp I was 125. I gained 50 pounds and was on light/modified bedrest from 32 weeks to my c-section at 38 weeks. My girls were 13 pounds combined. I'm currently at 135.
I am 5'2", gained a little over 40 pounds with pregnancy, and went to 36w1d. I was on bed rest from 22w to 34w with a shortened cervix. I have lost all the pregnancy weight and more since my boys were born.
My friend, who is also my height, weighed under 100 lbs pre-pregnancy with twins, gained 40, and had zero complications. She has also lost all the pregnancy weight.

I am 5'2" and gained 1 lb, babies came at 32w6d after 4 wks hospital bedrest. I have severe hyperemesis and lost 25 lbs during the first 14 weeks, so I guess I 'gained' 26 lbs.

I guess Im slightly taller at 5'3.5. Pre pg I was 110lbs and gained 28lbs. My dr wanted me to gain more and I tried. It just didnt happen.
Made it to 36wks 3days and had a planned csection. My pg was very high risk due to having a 4 MONTH old at time of conception. Add on my girls were MoMo twins I was monitored extremely close. They were 4lbs 8.5oz each. Had no problems through out my pg and no Nicu time for either of my girls.
I am 5'2. With the twins, my pre-preg weight was 105 and I gained 21 pounds from my pre-preg weight. I had HG and I lost 10 pounds plus I had trouble gaining weight. Seems to be repeating this time!

I'm 5'1 and pre pregnancy was 128. I made it to 35w5d and gained 31 lbs. Baby A was 4lb15oz and 18 1/2inches and baby B was 5lb9oz and 18 1/2 inches. I was worried about how I was going to be able to fit two babies inside me but believe me your body will make room. I do remember hearing my OB saying wow they were really running out of room in there when she cut me open for the csection though. All the nurses in the hospital couldnt believe someone my size carried twins of that size. I still cant believe it either. When they both were home from the hospital I remember laying there one night holding both of them n trying to lay them on my stomach and figure out how they managed to fit haha.
I am 5'2", I was 130lbs. pre-pregnancy (should have been 120lbs, but IVF will do that to ya). I gained 45lbs. total and delivered 36w3d.
At 34 weeks, I hit a wall, I was just over being pregnant and my body just ached and groaned whenever I moved. The last 2 weeks really where the hardest on my body. Up until that point I was working and taking classes at night, only 1 class 2x a week at that point, but still walking to class about 1/4 mile from the parking lot to the building. Once I finished that last class, I considered signing up for one more 2 week class, but my DH put his foot down and said no. I was so uncomfortable by the time I got home at night, he just would not let me do it anymore. I am kind of glad he did this. The next day after my last class is when I got really uncomfortable.
The day before I went into labor, I was at the OB and they measured me at 48 weeks pregnant.

I was put on modified bedrest from 20-31 weeks and strict bedrest from 31-36 weeks due to a shortened cervix.
