Hello,
I have a nearly 7-month-old little girl. I'm looking for other mommas in Philly who'd like to meet up, or share sitting duties in a pinch. I currently mostly work part time from home. I live on the boarder of Fishtown/Northern Liberties. I really don't know too many other Moms in the area.
I had a natural birth at the Bryn Mawr Birth Center, I'm mostly vegan, believe in attachment parenting.
(Not that you have to agree or be any of those things, but just to give you an idea of where I'm coming from.)
Thanks!
Re: New Moms in Philly/intro
I moved recently from NL. There are tons of moms that hang out at Liberty Lands park at 3rd & Poplar. Most of them are big AP moms too
I know there is an email playgroup - check out the NL message board on www.northernliberties.org. I know they would post occasionally about it. You have to email the moderator to get an invite.
There was also a great playgroup on Thursday mornings at the Methodist church in Fishtown, I want to say on Montgomery?
Not sure if they are still doing it, but Dos Segundos on 2nd in NL and Memphis Taproom in Fishtown both had Mommy & Me happy hours
There is also a FB group called Liberties Babies. GL!
