we used them in the winter for DD... even with the heat on it was chilly in the house sometimes because we lived in an older building. Why would they be any more unsafe than other sheets?
Why would they be unsafe? You are talking about a fitted sheet, right? Should be fine. If you are talking about loose flannel sheets in the crib, then no.
I'd use them. I don't happen to have any, and I'm not buying any more sheets, but I would use them, probably any time of year because I like to keep it on the cooler side.
I can't think of why they wouldn't be safe, unless you are using them in addition to too many blankets and an overly warm room. If you live in a cold climate or keep your house really cool in the winter, it might be ver comfy for baby. I would definitely consider buying one. We keep our house quite chilly at night in the winter (like high 50s!). Baby's room is warmer, though because he's upstairs and the upstairs rooms get lots of light during the day and stay warmer than downstairs.
Re: Flannel crib sheets?
This! I got this as a shower gift and LOVE it - can't wait for LO to use it!
