is almond milk hard to digest?

We have been giving LO mostly soy bc of allergies. I gave him almond milk the other night and he woke up in the middle of the night throwing up.  Dont know if he got a short-lived stomach bug or if the almond milk upset his stomach. What was your experience with almond milk?  I dont want to give it to him again if thats what it was.  Thanks!

We started transitioning to almond milk during the day last week. Its not harder to digest. I would probably think your little guy had a stomach bug or maybe reacted poorly to the almonds. I'd call your pedi just to make sure

Thanks!  I appreciate it.  We talk constantly with his GI doc.  I think I will try again in a few days (maybe not a full bottle and not for night time drink) and see how he does.  If he reacts again we will just stay away from it for now.  I just wanted another option besides soy.

Did you do a hard switch or slowly mix the almond with the soy? I slowly started mixing the almond milk with her Elecare formula and we didn't have any problems. Did your dr give you any advice or suggestions on how to introduce the new milk?
