Patients of Pediatric Specialists Bloomfield (Shilling/Coleman)...

I've heard nothing but great things from a friend of mine, just wanted to hear your feedback!  Also, how far are you driving to this office?  Maybe this warrants another post/poll... I would be driving from Clarkston to Bloomfield - not the worst drive, just down I-75, but it's about 20 minutes on a good day.  Is that too far to have to drive for frequent well visits? 

Also they don't have priveleges at Crittenton where I'll be delivering so I will have to have a staff pedi check the baby out.  Is that a big deal?

I am not a patient there but two of my good friends go there and love it.  One of them drives from Oxford and doesn't seem to mind the drive. 

Also I don't think it's a big deal at all to have the staff pedi check out your baby at the hospital...mine was not seen by our pedi in the hospital, she just had us come to the office the day after we were discharged.  Same for my sister (who goes to a different pedi than I do).  Totally no biggie.

I'm an RN at Royal Oak Beaumont ER and we love them!  They don't send their patients to the ER for nothing!  They have a great system.  They even do home visits in the beginning so you don't have to take the baby out.  (great for Michigan winters)  You won't be disappointed by using them!  HTH!!!

I am obsessed with this practice. After our first interview with them (before our first daughter was born) I actually left the office crying because I loved them so much. Dr Shilling & Dr Coleman are both wonderful and we are so glad we found this practice. We live about 25 minutes away.

I delivered at Providence Park and it was not a big deal just having the on staff pedi's check her out.
