Completely exhausted? I've been "tired" in the afternoons but recently I feel like I've been run over by a truck.
Yesterday I went straight home after work, slept for over 2 hours, ate dinner and was back asleep by 9:30 and slept until 6:00 this morning. Needless to say, I was late for work.
Ladies that are reaching the end of the 1st tri or 2nd time moms - PLEASE tell me it gets better.
Re: Anyone else...
I have been less tired for about 2 weeks now. So I think it does get better, but obviously on a different schedule for everyone.
I am almost 11 weeks, this is my first pregnancy. I can tell you that what you are feeling is completely normal. I felt SOOO sluggish and slept all the time from 6 to 8 weeks, started getting more energy and then the past week I have been back to the exhaustion... I notice if I stay up later a couple nights or am running around a lot my body crashes and I go 2 or 3 days sleeping as much as you did yesterday!
They say that the first Tri you are going to be exauhsted and the 2nd it's like you get energy overnight! But the thrid Tri they say is back to exhaustion!
I just make sure I take my PNV, drink lots of water, and sleep at least 8 hours a night and I found if I stick to the same sleep patern (which is hard when getting up at 4, 5 or 6am to pee) I get a little more energy each day!
Good luck!
With DS and this pg, I have been exhausted from week 7-9.
Today I am actually starting to feel a bit better, so far...
With DS at 10 weeks it was like someone flipped a switch, and I felt great. I continued to feel great until about 38 weeks. Then I was just huge and uncomfortable.
Week 8 and 9 were my worst!!
I thought I was getting back to normal during week 10, but yesterday and today it hit me again with the upset stomach and wanting to sleep all day!!
I hope this is my last wave of it before 2nd tri!!
My exhaustion seems to be increasing as well. I could barely keep my eyes open yesterday afternoon. I ended up coming home a couple hours early and 30 minutes after I got home I was out, for almost 4 hours. Then up for maybe 4 and back to bed again.
My house is of course a wreck now. I just really hope I get that burst of energy in 2nd tri that I hear about.
For me, the second trimester was better because I was less tired, had more energy and didn't feel sick anymore. It didn't happen immediately but I would say by about 14-15 weeks or so I was feeling pretty good again.
Good luck! I hope it gets better for you!
Mmmm...cake!
