Sleep positioners?

I know recently sleep positioners were said to cause SIDS etc but I *believe* it was for the one where it puts them on their side? If that's the case, are the wedge ones ok? Or are you just skipping them all together?

  • I thought it was all...could be wrong.  I am skipping them all together.

  • The only safe wedges are the prescription ones (e.g., for reflux)

  • Thanks, that's what I thought. I was given one from someone who used it and it's a wedge that vibrates and plays music or something. I just wanted some opinions.

  • I received a wedge one as a gift, but I returned it after I found out that parents are being urged not to use them.

When I took it back, the lady at customer service said that they have been officially recalled!

  • I wouldn't use it.

  • I'm a little late to post on this one, but we got one at our shower and I set it up in the crib, all ready to go, but I ended up returning it because of the incline.  Plus, DS loved to be tightly swaddled so he just slid right down off of it anyhow.  I wouldn't waste your time.
