Minnesota Babies

Pediatricians for Minneapolis/SLP area

Hi -

I'm starting to look for a peditrician for our LO who is due in Dec. and wondered if anyone had some recommendations.  I live in SLP and am open to any suggestions in Edina, Eden Prairie, Minneapolis, Plymouth, and Golden Valley.

Thanks for your help!

  • We go to Wayzata Childrens Clinic and I love them.  Google them.  I also went there as a child!
  • we really like Southdale pedi

  • We've been really happy with South Lake Peds (esp Dr. Freehill).  They have offices in Minnetonka and at Children's West (494 & 62), as well as several other locations.

  • Went to Central Pediatics for years, but when they relocated to SLP it was just too far of a drive for us.  We're on the east side of St. Paul.  Love them!
  • We go to Partners in Pediatrics (Dr. Jennings) in Plymouth - they also have other locations. I really like that they have walk-in saturday hrs @ their Maple Grove location.
  • Who do you go to there?  I've heard them mentioned before.

Thanks ladies for the suggestions I'll give them a call to see if they are taking new patient and make rounds at Abbott!

  • DS sees Dr. Savitt at Partners in Pediatrics in Plymouth.  He also sees patients in their Uptown clinic.

We absolutely love him.  I know a couple of other moms who go to him and love him too.  I love the Partners in Peds clinics in general.  ReadyCare is awesome and the clinics are just great.  The clinic is Maple Grove is open on weekends and until 8 on weeknights, so we love that we have that option if we need to do a walk-in appt and then we don't have to pay for an ER visit.

I'm not sure where they do rounds at.  But honestly, I would not base a decision around that.  I think it's a bonus if they go to your hospital.  But it's one visit and as long as everything is running smoothly, there isn't a ton of information that is different.  We got a random at the hospital and it was just fine.
