What do you think of the name, Mattie for a girl?

Hm. I think it needs a longer first name and you can use Mattie as a nn. However, there are tons of Matties/Maddies/Madis running around with the fn of Madison, Madeiline, Madelyn, etc.

If I ever used it, it'd be a middle name. Like I'm going to use Karsynn Mattie as an example. It's cute. but I don't like the name Maddison or anything like that.

Oh nooo why not just use CARSON if you like it "don't try to church it up" (what movie?) with K's and y's! it doesnt look pretty.

How about Mattie, short for Mattea (female form of Matthew)? Mattie as the whole first name is way too childish to ever grow into, IMO

It sounds like a nickname. DD is Matilda and I think it would be work as a nn for her. We wouldn't use it though because its so similar to Maddie and there are way too many little Maddies running around.
