I know it is WAY premature but I am jonesing for some Christmas cheer. Decorations and Christmas music and shopping and Christmas movies can't come soon enough for me this year. Anyone else ready to get their Christmas on or am I alone in this?
I'm excited for Christmas itself, but terrified about this baby coming just a few weeks later!!! Maybe my DS needs some Christmas cheer to snap out of his grumpy funk! :-)
My H's cousin posted pictures on facebook late LAST WEEK of her Christmas tree and all her Christmas decorations! I thought she was insane before but that has definately confirmed my thoughts!! Apparently she does this every year... crazy lady!
I am ready for the Holiday season, but I will take them as they come... Halloween, then Thanksgiving and THEN Christmas. But I would be ok with them all hurrying along!!
6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM
7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle!
9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.
I've been planning DD's Christmas presents all week in anticipation of Black Friday. Her birthday is 5 days after Christmas so the more deals the better! We're going to be visiting DH's family in MA this year for Thanksgiving so I'm nervous about Black Friday shopping up there, but we will see how it goes!
I LOVE Christmas!! DH asked me to wait untill Thanksgiving before I go Christmas crazy but when Black Friday hits all bets are off. I can't wait to start shopping and decorating.
I'm ready for Thanksgiving, which I love, then Christmas. I am not a big Halloween fan, mostly because this was the story of my childhood. But I do love the fall weather.
My father-in-law has started putting his lights up! He does evey year but he doesn't turn them on until the day after thanksgiving. Then he takes them all down the day after Christmas. And yes, I think he is crazy:-)
Well I occasionally listen to Christmas music when I am in a bad mood... starting like 2 weeks ago. This weekend I got out my 3 tupperware containers full of Christmas fabric, ribbons and embellisments to make my annual handmade ornaments for our tree. And have already start shopping... most of Eli's is done and my niece is almost done. Does that count as being ready?!?! HA HA! I have been dying for the holidays since like August. I am chalking it up to being a weirdo pg symptom.

I've gotten some of my shopping done. 3 things for H. MIL and 1 thing for SIL (small). It doesn't help that my mom, H and MIL's bdays are all in November. Frustration. I really hate shopping and Christmas makes my frustration go through the roof. I'm trying to get done with everything before Thanksgiving.
Me! I am already shopping (online) and planning menus and crafts. My goal this year is to have every gift bought and wrapped by Thanksgiving. That way we can enjoy family, friends, and holiday events during the month leading up to Christmas. I cannot wait to see the joy DD has in the season this year. That joy seems so fleeting as they get older, but the wonderful thing about toddlers is that they put the joy right back into the hearts of everyone around them. Holiday spirit to all this year!
I am right there with you. I always loved Christmas and seeing Kellen's excitement made it extra special. But now that Ayden is here things have changed so much more. Kellen gets more excited to show Ayden everything and Ayden gets so excited to see all the neat stuff that it makes it that much more fun as an adult. Growing up I never thought Christmas could get any better than it was, but man it is way better.
Is it bad to say we watch Elf year round. I LOVE that movie!!!
