Cloth Diapering

GroVia AI2s

I am thinking of using the grovia ai2s with our LO.  Is the package with 12 shells, 24 soaker pads, and 4 boosters enough for a newborn?  Has anyone used this product with a newborn and needed more than the above numbers?

Re: GroVia AI2s

  • With a NB you will find that your LO will poop often (always) and the poop will go off the soaker pad and end up on the shell.  So 12 shells would barely get you through 1 day of NB diapering and while those were in the wash you'd need a backup system.  The above would work for an older baby and we use GVs and like them but I rarely use the shells two times in a row.  Even with the new soaker pads with the PUL liner.  My own opinion is that the AI2 diaper is a myth.  You should probably always move on to a new diaper at every change.  HTH.

  • I'm a firm beliver of try before you buy.  Don't get an entire stash of one thing if you've never used it...it may not work for you and then you're stuck.  That said...we had 30 diapers in our newborn stash and that was enough to do laundry every other day.
