Finally!!

I know I posted a while back (and I don't post real often, I am trying to be better) about moving from CT, living with my in-laws, not being able to see our house.  Well, there is finally some light!

This past weekend we accepted an offer to rent our place in CT for 18 months starting December 1st.  We couldn't sell our place for how low we had to go, so we decided that renting was the next best thing.

Now we can finally start looking for our own place here!!  We are going out tonight to look at a house and I am so excited.

That must feel really good!  Good luck finding a house!  What part of CT did you live in?  I have quite a few relatives there.  My Nana's house in Waterbury finally sold after being on the market over a year.  I have family in Bristol, Southington, and Watertown.  My mom is a CT transplant.  :-)

I'm sorry you've been having trouble selling but glad you found a good alternative. We are long distance landlords as well. I wish you good luck with it. 

Where in Mason/Deerfield are you looking? I live in Mason and a few of the girls on the board are in Deerfield. I wonder if you are looking in one of our neighborhoods?

We were in Farmington.  We were actually about 2 minutes from Bristol.  The house was on the market for 6 months for sale, then when we saw how low we would really have to see it, we decided renting would be the better option.

Both DH and I are from Ohio, but we were there for 7 years.

Tonight we are looking in Birchwood Farms.  Next weekend we are looking at a few places in Crooked Tree.

Congrats on finding renters!! We were living with my IL's from June to September, so I know how hard that can be! We are also from Ohio and lived in Seattle for 8 years. I grew up in Pleasant Ridge, but am really liking Deerfield Township so far! Good luck with the househunting! We were able to find something very quickly!
