My 7 mo old DS is really starting to like to stand and lean against items. We are thinking of getting him an activity table for Christmas since he will most likely be ready for that then. We have looked at some of the activity tables that are out there and are not super excited. They all seem to be have the "effect" of DC's actions be sound related. The noise is fine, we can handle it. The thing is, DS really loves the activities on his exersaucer. There are things to spin, pull/push, slide, open/close, flip back and forth, etc. It's all very mechanical and not "needing" the sound as the final effect.
Is there anything out there that doesn't seem like a giant piano? Some of the activity tables seem like we should just buy a colorful child's keyboard. We thought something like this might be entertaining but we are not sure it is going to be tall enough. Thoughts? Thanks!
Re: Activity Tables
My son loves this table and his adjusted age is about the same as your LO. There are lots of things to play with and it makes noise but he likes all the moving parts too. I found mine at a Good Will store in perfect condition for $9.

DD has that wooden one and barely plays with it.
She also as the Fisher price Laigh & learn activity table and LOVES it. The legs come off to use for sitters and then is the perfect height for standers.
The pages on the book turn, the computer lid goes up and down and there is a spinny thing on the other side that you can't see.
