What to sleep twin preemies in?

My preemies are still in the NICU, hopefully coming home over the next few weeks.  One of the nurses today told me the new recommendations with SIDS are to sleep the babies in your room for the first 3 mos and NOT together.  There goes my plans of sleeping them in a pack and play by my bed.  I don't really want to invest in 2 bassinets as I won't use them very long.  What did you all do?  Any suggestions would be great!

I did find a Graco pack and play with twin bassinets on babiesrus.com but got mixed reviews on whether the bassinets were sturdy enough to hold the babies.

We put our two in their own cribs with nothing else in them.  They slept in the preemie sleep sacks. Their room is so close to ours so it is almost as if they were in the same room as us.  Our NICU nurses had tons of recommendations that we followed, but that was never one they suggested.

Our twins also slept in their cribs in their rooms when they got out of NICU. when they were tiny we swaddled them but now we use sleep sacks. Our room is also very close to the babies' room so we felt comfortable with it.

Fisher Price Rock n Plays- They're small enough, cheap enough ($50), super convenient, bassinet rated... We only used them for naps and had 2 mini co sleepers in our room that we borrowed from friends.

We put them in seperate cribs in the nursery right away. Like others, our nursery was close to our room and we had a monitor by our bed to make sure we heard them.  We wouldn't have had room for bassinets in our bedroom though. 

The NICU nursers/dr's also recommended they sleep seperate, and ours had to anyways b/c of my daughter's apnea monitor (with it's long cord it would have been a hazard).

My girls were in the NICU for 5 weeks.  My sister bought me the Graco...twin bassinet.  I thought I'd never use it, and I was all set to have them sleep in their cribs.

well.....................  they will be 3 months old tomorrow, and I LOVE, love love the Graco double bassinet.  It is right by our bed, and we like it so much we still haven't moved them into the nursery.

and....My daughter Lauren came home on oxygen, an apnea/cardiac monitor, and also a pulse ox.  The double bassinet is great, and the twins sleep separate within it.  The 2 sleep areas are side by side, but each twin has her own space/sleeping area.
