There are so many posts asking whether a particular diaper is bulky, or what the trimmest diaper out there is. We have close to 20 different types diapers in our stash, running the gamut from not-so-bulky (FB Perfect Size) to pretty-darn-bulky (MSO). But DD can walk fine in all of them; could crawl fine in all of them. And her wardrobe is CD-friendly anyway.
So m question is: What's the big deal about bulk?

I don't get it either. I have just been buying clothing in the next size up and it works fine. I would agree with PP though that some of the things we received as gifts didn't end up fitting. But most of the clothes we received were ridiculous anyway. Can anyone tell me why someone would give a summer baby (a preemie no less) a sleeveless/shorts romper in size 6-9 months? He still doesn't fit into it and it's starting to get chilly here.
We have a couple friends either with kids or kids on the way that make fun of LO's fluffy butt every time we see them, like it's a big deal... maybe it doesn't matter to me because I was a CD baby and in all my pics I have fluffy butt too? I think it's cute.
I usually don't even notice the extra fluff anymore and most clothes fit just fine, besides tight jeans...but I don't like putting babies in jeans anyways. But I too have friends that laugh and make fun of DD's fluffy butt when they see her and I honestly don't get it. Who cares? It just really doesn't seem all that big to me!
I like the fluffy butt. None of my friends have said anything about the size of my baby's CD butt. However, most of her CDs are pretty trim. They are not nearly as trim as sposies, but sposies contain chemicals that make them hold a bucket of pee and be only 1 cm thick -- uh, no thanks. As for pants and shorts, she wears stretchy materials like cotton and wool, so there is enough stretch for her butt. At the present time, my friends are all wondering where I get her cute, unique pants (they are knit wool longies!). They think my baby is stylish. They have no idea that her pants are covers.
