I'm trying to finish our registry and can't decide if we need both. What do you think??? This is our first baby so I'm totally lost when it comes to this kind of stuff!
I was wondering the same thing. I went ten pages back on this board yesterday and people have great things to say about the RNP. I have a bassinet, so that really threw me off. Decisions desisions!
I don't know if it will be necessary, but we got both. I would rather let the baby nap in the RNP than the bouncer, but I think the bouncer is nice for when he is awake with the music and mobile and all that. Plus I've heard the RNP is phenomenal for babies with colic and acid reflux problems.
Make sure to read as many reviews as you can on the rock 'n' play. I read two on Amazon yesterday that stated that the babies had developed neck problems from sleeping in them too long. I'm sure that it is fine when used in moderation though. Ultimately it is up to you and it depends on what you will be using it for. After reading those reviews I would be really hesitant to leave baby in it too long. GL!

I agree, letting the baby sleep in anything like that for too long is not supposed to be good. Whether it be a RNP, bouncer, swing, car seat, etc.
