What color stroller would you pick?

I am pre-ordering the Baby Jogger City Mini Double stroller for the 2011 model. I am debating on colors. This is my only splurge item for the twins BTW.

Since we are done having kids after the twins, I won't need to reuse this for any other babies so no need to go gender neutral.

So, if you were me, which color do you like better? Do I go safe and select the Stone version or do I go fashionista and do pruple?

Ordinarily I love purple, but I agree with Hayley on this one.  That shade is just a bit too much and I think the stroller looks great in stone.  Plus, I think the stone color would be less likely to show dirt.

They are stating on the blogs that it isn't as harsh as the photo since the flash really makes it brighter. It was taken at a trade show where lighting it everywhere! I'm drawn to the purple for some reason, but originally loved the stone. Argh - I feel like I am buying a freaking car. My co-workers are laughing at me because I said I wanted the 2011 version instead of 2010. They had no clue that stroller had model years. Ha!!

PP's have valid points, but I'd still go with the purple. I'm a big fan of colors, and not generally a fan of gender neutral stuff - especially if you don't have to worry about re-using it for yourself. The only thing I'd think/worry about was DH. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't love pushing a bright purple stroller, but he might get over it : )

I chose the Amethyst too because I do not like the stone and I think the deep purple which is what it is supposed to be will be a nice.

I think the neutral color is what I would actually purchase if I were in your shoes just because it's neutral for resale plus I'm pretty sure DH wouldn't love to push around the purple stroller. BUT... I voted purple because that is the one I would actually WANT to purchase!

I voted Stone. I love me some purple (my first grown-up car was purple) but, that color as depicted in that photo is fug.

Is there some way you can see it in person before you decide?

We already have a DSNG for when they are little. Will probably switch over when they are sitting up and/or get to heavy to using the infant seats.

I say if it's the one thing you're splurging on, then get the color you love the best.  I love the purple!  And I think it won't show stains as easily as the stone.

My thoughts exactly.  If you love the purple, go for it.  And yea the stone will probably resell easier, but you will probably find someone to buy the purple one eventually too.

I voted for the stone color, but I'm a pretty neutral, boring type of person.

I totally understand the model year thing.  I was so happy when our stroller looked the same for a couple more years.  They just changed it, and I was so sad when I saw that mine now looks old (even though most people would never know).

Purple all the way. If you're going to splurge, go with the color you really want. It's a nice enough stroller that I don't think you will have an issue with resale. I love the color!!!!
