We're not TTC again until May, but I've been putting together lists of names I like. We never had a girl list with Basil, as her name was picked five years before she was born(and magically, it totally fits her!), so this time around, it'll be fun to get to pick out names.

Sullivan- I really like it! It's one of the only last names I like as first names.
Otto- I don't hate it, but I think it better suits a pet.
Atticus- I just can't like this name. I try. I just can't. It doesn't sound good when spoken and I don't like how it looks written.
Dawson- I know a dog named Dawson, and that's the only association I have with it. I don't think it fits a person very well.
Holden- It could grow on me.
Elliott- I really like Elliott!
Milo- I like Milo a lot! I prefer Miles, but Milo is a little more spunky I think.
Landon- I like it. Reminds me of Landon Donovan!
River- I do NOT like this. It doesn't sound masculine (not that I would use it on a girl, either).
Uriah- Urethra.
Hudson- Meh... you have better names. Like your next one!
Oliver- I LOVE OLIVER. It is the cutest name on a little boy EVER, but it works well on adults too!
Sebastian- I love it!
Thatcher- I don't like it. Reminds me of thatched roofs, which aren't even good looking.
Shiloh- Sounds girly...
Mateo- Love it! I like the spelling Matteo, though... I feel like thats how most people will spell it.
Sheldon- I think of a turtle and then I think of a mean, nerdy kid.
Harrison- I don't like the name Harry, and I feel like he would get called Harry... so I can't like Harrison. Sullivan is a better ln-as-fn name.
Astrid- I honestly think this is one the the ugliest names in the world.
Amelia (Mia)- I love Amelia, and Mia is cute.
Sawyer- Masculine.
Harper- It's okay. You have better names, for sure.
Adelaide(Addie)- I don't like Addie at all, and Adelaide is on the verge of pretentious.
Harriet- I don't like this at all.
Eloise (Ellie)- LOVE Eloise, but not if you are going to reduce it to Ellie! Every other girl on the planet is called Ellie... just call her Eloise!
Violet- Gorgeous.
Norah- I like it okay... it's really just nms.
Lucilla (Lucy)- I like Lucy, but Lucilla seems too complicated.
Imogen- I don't like it... it doesn't sound pretty at all.
Isla- Love it! It's absolutely gorgeous.
Jane- I like it better as a middle name.
Olivia- Very popular, but it is very pretty.
Magdalena (Laney)- Magdalena is too complicated.
Lorelei- I just don't think it works very well on a girl until she is about 35.
Coraline (Cora)- Love it!
Lola- "...she was a showgirl!" Plus it just doesn't age well.
Delilah- Prefer just Lilah but Delilah is nice.
Maeve- I don't think it is very feminine.
Fiona- Gorgeous!
Willow- I actually love Willow. It's different, but it is very soft and pretty.
Dylan- Did you mean to put this on your boy's list? It's fine for a BOY!
Sable- I don't like it.
Ophelia- Prefer Amelia... Ophelia is okay, though.
To summarize:
I like Sullivan, Holden, Elliott, Milo, Landon, Oliver, Sebastian, and Matteo for boys.
I like Amelia, Eloise (not Ellie!), Violet, Norah, Isla, Olivia, Delilah, Fiona, and Willow for girls.

It seems we do have similar taste! I just looked at your name list. I love most of the names on there!
I've found that there are two kinds of people in the world. The people that love Basil's name, and the people who immediately upon meeting her tell me "Basil is a boys name!" Thanks for being the former.
My mother in law *hated* her name before she was born. Biggest name critic ever. But even she, as soon as she met Basil said it totally fit her.
Haha! Eeek! Happy(erm.. humpy?) dogs ruin the best of names sometimes. Glad it didn't ruin Basil for you.
The other response we get to her name is "Oh, everyone is naming thier daughter Isabella these days." So either way, most of the time, we just can't win. We love her name though.
I joked to DH about if we had another girl, we'd name her Rosemary. He thought I was serious, and now tells me I'm not allowed to have an opinion on names for any future children. Although, it's sad, because I do like Rosemary. I just couldn't have names that matchy matchy.
