How long does it take for a call back?

I put a call in to my doctor this morning because I'm on Day 12 of AF- down to just brown spotting now, but it's still there.  I called at 10am, and haven't gotten a phone call back yet.  This is usually the deal with them- they take hours to call me back.

Is this normal?  We moved, and this is a new doctor.  My old doctor's office didn't take this long to return calls, but maybe they were really good about it.  I really love my doctor, but I can't stand all the nurses and receptionists that are in the way of me seeing her!

How many hours are we talking???  I don't call my Dr. much, but when I was going through my loss it seemed like they were very on top of calling me back.  I would wait about 5 hours, then call them back if they haven't called you.  GL!

On Mondays, it can take my doctor's office quite a while to call back.  Mondays are insane around there.  The phone literally rings off the hook.  On other days, it usually only takes a few hours (though they usually call back within an hour or so) to get a call back.

It depends on the day.  I have gotten called at noon some days and not until 6:00 other days. I hope you hear back soon!

It depends on the reason. When I called to say "I'm pregnant and started spotting" they called back within a couple hours. If I call for general questions or test results it can take several hours/ days (and several calls) to get a call back.

My dr never calls back. I have to call the office repeatedly until he's finally available or has answered the question for the receptionist to tell me. Very annoying!

It all depends for me too - on the day, time of day, reason for call, etc. But regardless I would typically like a phone call back within a business day no matter what the situation.

If the office is very busy (prob is on Mondays) then you would get a call back after office hours.  This is common for busy offices

Well, they haven't called today.  I will cut them some slack, because I know it's crazy on Mondays.  But if they don't call by tomorrow afternoon, I'm going to give them a call.  Thanks girls!  I need to learn to be more patient about this stuff.
