Infertility

Hello again.

I posted on here awhile back. My husband kept putting off  his SA, so I basically gave up.  When I was posting on here the problem with getting pregnant was just me, but my husband finally went to get tested and his SA came back VERY abnormal. So yet again another road block. So now we don't know which way to go. Do we go to the urologist to see if DH can be fixed and if not then move on to adoption? Or do we just move right on to adoption? Is anyone else here having issues with both? I swear if I hear from one more person it will all work out or if it was meant to be it will be, im going to scream. Anyway that is us in a nutshell right now. Hopefully someone will have some advice because right now I am feeling pretty hopeless.

Re: Hello again.

  • Well, only you can decide if you want to pursue treatments/problem fixing or if you want to move right on to adoption. If you are interested in doing treatments and all that jazz, have him go to the uro.

My DH had low morph, saw a uro, she diagnosed him with a double varicocele, he had repair surgery and now his morph is normal so it can happen.

  • That's good to hear. We just got my husbands SA results on friday so it's still fresh and I can only seem to think it will never happen for us. Which is a horrible way to look at it. I guess I didnt expect both of us to have issues.

  • I think you'd be okay to post this here.  But sorry you're in this boat to begin with!

We're MFI - and like pp said, it's up to you as to how you're comfortable moving forward.  Depending on your situation there could be treatements for him or IVF or IVF with ICSI.  Definitely do some talking with your DH to see where his heart is.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to pursue!
