we've got a walker! :)

a little while back she took her first steps... in front of the babysitter and i was so bummed i missed it after that i'd see her do 1 step-2 step-plop! but that was about it

then on friday she took 8 whole steps for DH while i was at work and again, i was so sad

this afternoon she was trying to walk and kept doing the whole 1-2-plop thing but instead of doing it a couple of times and then crawling away, she kept doing it over and over and over again....you could tell she was really wanting to walk! she eventually got to where she was getting about 3 steps in before falling and then all of a sudden it was like it finally clicked and she just started walking everywhere! after she figured it out, all she wanted to do was walk around the room and play, she was hardly crawling at all anymore.

then tonight...it was so cute...normally when i am drawing her bath i let her stand next the tub and she will just hold onto the side and watch but today she grabbed the shampoo bottle and took off walking instead of staying beside the tub LOL  now we really need to start child proofing the house!!

i am still sad i missed out on her first few steps, but at least i got to be there for when she finally "got it" and started walking

Yay! So awesome! Yeah..... You will soon long for those days when you can plop her down in one spot and she STAYS THERE. Haha. Clear all shelves her height... Block the bottom of the stairs... Get ready to chase her everywhere! And soon she will not want to hold your hand, she will want to walk on her OWN. It's all good. Enjoy! Go Miss A! Once again, she and Alexa are right on target... Walking at nearly the exact same age!! Whooo hoooo, go little As!

Yay Miss A!  I totally get what you're saying about seeing them "get it"...Libby's doing that right now with standing...it's like you can literally see the "light bulb moment"...too fun! Miss A is so tiny it must be quite a site to see her toddling around!  Big congrats Jaime!
