It's in my siggy below - we just don't like any of the longer names (Leonardo, Leonard, Leopold) so we are going with plain "Leo". Anthony is my DH's first name.
I know that my family and probably many of my friends are not going to like "Leo" - so that is why we are not sharing the name ahead of time IRL. I'm going to have to put my big girl panties on when I announce his name because I know some people are still going to comment or react subtly unimpressed.
Re: Chose our boy's name!
I personally love the name Leo! I'm normally a huge advocate of not using nicknames as a formal given name, but I honestly think Leo is an exception to the rule. I think you'll see it getting more popular in the coming years and gaining more acceptance. I think you'll be surprised at how many people really love this name, actually!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Who cares what people think. Your parents, and inlaws, had their oppurtunity to name their children and now it's ya'lls turn. Our parents weren't too keen on our names either but I told them straight that it didn't matter what we named our child that they would love him anyways.
And yay for naming your child what you want. I personally can't stand people who name their child one thing and intend to call them something else their entire life
