Anyone else into baking all of a sudden?

Is this a nesting/maternal thing or something?

I cook regularly, but I normally (dont) and cant bake, but lately I feel the urge to bake up a storm. Today I baked 2 sugar creams pies, and some macaroons. The other day it was pumpkin pies and some tarts.

I love to cook and bake andhave had an increased urge to pump it into high gear, but i don't think it is pregnancy related. I think, for me anyways, its because I am home now (laid off from work) and also because the weather is cooler and baking fills the house with warmth and love.

Me!  I actually have chocolate chip cookies in the oven right now.  I'm going to tackle my first pumpkin roll and maybe some oatmeal cookies tomorrow.

I have been in a baking mood as well. I think part of it is the time of year and the other part nesting. I have made a pumpkin custard, apple crisp, and I am really in the mood for making sugar cookie cutouts and frost them all pretty. I was thinking about doing them in a baby theme and giving them to my mom for my baby shower. LOL. I LOVE them, but I know they are a lot of work. I am also thinking about what I want to make for my freezer meals for when LO comes.

This time of year I always get the urge to bake.  I just enjoy being at home with my husband and dogs, and it makes the house feel so cozy.

I love to bake. If it would ever get cool in So Ca and stay cool I would be doing a lot more of it! I did make some tasty lemon bars a few weeks ago.

The firs loaves of bannana bread and 5 disks of pastry dough n my freezer says YES!

I don't like to bake and can't really bake. I've only baked without supervision 3 times. Once was a complete disaster. The other 2 were last week. All I want is to bake lately!! It is definitely pregnancy related for me.

I just took two loaves of pumpkin bread out of the oven, so yes! It's partly due to the weather finally turning cooler in my area too. It's been so hot for so long, I just haven't wanted to turn on the oven at all for months.

I've been baking lately - several loaves of banana bread, a pumpkin pie, and cookies, and I defintely attribute it to nesting.  I like to bake,but haven't had the urge in so long.  And it came with actually cleaning up some things around my house that I've been putting off.  Definetly nesting!

I don't regularly cook, Hubby is a chef, but for some odd reason this past Thursday I all of a sudden decided to call up my mom and asked her what we need to make chocolate chip cookies while we were at the grocery store and then went to her house and baked cookies, now i'm enjoying them... LOL it's weird for me, lol

Oh goodness yes!!!  I very rarely baked prior to my pregnancy because I didn't want lots of leftover sweets in the house (both DH & I aren't big dessert people).  But now.....I probably bake once a week, cupcakes, cookies, breads, crisps.....It's all a big ploy to get the sugar I have been so badly craving!!!!   It's craziness!!! LOL!!!

I just went nuts Saturday and really really wanted peach cobbler.... Made it yesterday... oh my sweet gooey warm goodness.

But just after a scoop I was done and now I am itching to bake Pumpkin cookies.... MAKE ME STOP!
