I can't stop laughing

So we put DD down tonight, and she asked for her binky.  I told her she had to give me her new Minnie doll (she carries around everywhere) if she wants her binky.  She refused.  We leave.   Now she is yelling "Bug! Bug!  There is a bug in my room!" to procrastinate going to sleep.  DH just went up on bug removal patrol.  Of course, there is no bug.  She was happy that daddy came to rescue her.  He put her back down, and it is quiet.  I just don't understand how they figure this stuff out.  I am just giggling over the hilarity.

  • O's being doing this crap a lot lately. I literally watched him knock over a tower full of CDs yesterday and he had the nerve to say "I didn't do it, sissy did" when I told him to clean it up.

I'm glad to hear it's fairly normal toddler behavior and not because he's genetically inclined to have sociopath tendencies.  Indifferent

  • Haha.  Macy has been coming up with new antics everday to try to stall going to bed.  It's way worse since we got rid of the pacifier too!  I'm glad getting rid of the pacifier is going well for you guys!

  • I just read an article that as their imaginations develop, it sorts of blurs with reality for them.

That actually makes perfect sense.  DD is way into pretend play, and lately is making up her own songs and stories.  I can see how they might get confused about what is real vs imaginary, especially when the imagination is such a new thing for them.  Hmmm....
