let's hope it sticks. he's had a few desats and bradys without anyone doing anything to him (normally this only happens when he gets angry) and they have him on a back up rate but the doctors are still optimistic he'll be able to stay extubated.
he's pooping now so that's encouraging. the edema from the disaster with the steriods has reduced significantly.
all in all things are going really well. So why am i on the verge of panic? ( I did this before when i was pg and got a good ultrasound report. i want to enjoy happy news.)
Re: We made it to CPAP!
YEAH:) Also it is okay to be in panic mode. I do that also. I think it's just something we all do.
God Bless,
Jillian
I'll tell you why.
Because the NICU is hell. And from your siggy, you've been through a lot of hell. Its a tough TOUGH thing to see your LO on a vent or a cpap. It's even tough to see routine things like a vaccination.
*hugs*
I hope things calm down, that the rest of his NICU stay is quick and uneventful. I wish there was something I could tell you that would alleviate some of your panic.
