I realize LO won't be talking for a bit longer, but we want to decide what we are calling pees and poops. My MIL is here and has been asking my baby daughter if she needs to "make dumps." I have this fear of hearing my baby girl tell her teachers that she has to "dump." It is time to come up with our terms now to nip that in the bud. What are you going to teach your LO to say?
Re: What words are you using for pee/poop?
We call them pee and poop, so I am sure we will with her, too!
haha what a funny post.
Just calling it what it is: pee and poop. Although I find myself saying "poops" even when not technically plural.
I have a predicament about farts. I call 'em farts but my parents always told my younger half-siblings not to say "fart" but to call them "toots". I don't get the reason for it but around my parents with DD I feel sheepish when saying "farts".
agreed...
Oh, sometimes DH says peeps!
We are going with pee and poop ended being called "Doodles" for some reason.
My MIL does not allow the word fart to be said in her house so we call the "Ufurts"....sounds like "who farted" said quickly...
"Cherish your furbabies today because there might not be a tomorrow"

"Go potty" = "use the bathroom" (general)
Solid waste= "BM", "#2", and sometimes we say "poop" but I really don't like to say that.
Liquid waste= "urine", "tinkle", "#1", "chish" (that is thanks to my mother).
Farts= "pass gass", "poof", or "toot" because we're not fans of the word "fart".
I do think that kids need to know all the names for them, even if you don't like the terms because other people are going to use different terms than you are, like at daycare/school/grandparents... so they need to know them even if they aren't your everyday word.
