I judged yesterday

I judged hard core. I was leaving the grocery store, and I saw this 80 yr. old grandma, and perhaps her granddaughter, looked to be about my age, give or take a couple of years. Well, she was pretty pg, I would say about 8 months, just watching her grandma get a shopping cart out. And the grandma wasn't having the easiest time. Is that odd? Not for nothing, but umm, she's pg, not handicapped or fragile so there is no way in hell I'd let my grandma sit there and struggle while I watched. Nor would she be pushing the cart. But that's me, and I'm a Judgey McJudgerson.

Oh it was clear. She definitely saw me looking from her, to her grandmother, to her, and back. She looked uncomfortable actually. Or she was avoiding my death stare.

There was small part of me just hoping that the grandmother is a stubborn lady who insisted and she was just trying to indulge her. In that case, I would have felt bad.

This!  I probably would have asked the lady if she needed help.  I judge to often. . . (runs and hides in shame!)

I was in a similar position the other day.  I was getting gas and this older man was having problems with the ATM at his pump.  All the people waiting were giving him these nasty stares and just inching their cars towards him.  I went over once I got my gas going and offered to help him and he was so relieved.  Poor guy couldn't read the tiny writing on the screen, which I have a hard time reading with perfect vision, so he kept hitting the wrong button.  Once he was good to go and I walked away I was amazed to see people staring at me like I had grown 2 heads.  I just wanted to yell at them, why don't people think to help people anymore when it is obvious they need help. 

I totally judge people who don't help others, especially when it's obvious the person needs help.
