Cloth Diapering

Stains

I normally sun bleach my cloth diapers.  However, now that fall is here, the sun is less potent and I'm having trouble getting some stains out.  I normally don't really care except I'm giving my newborn stash to my cousin and I'd like to hand them over stain free.  They are kissaluvs, if that helps.  Any suggestions?

Re: Stains

  • I don't have a place to sun them, and our KL0's have stained way more than any of our other diapers. Dark yellow stains, even though they definitely are clean. So I'm no help to you at all!  Curious if anyone else has any ideas though.

  • I have found with my prefolds that the stains continued to lighten with washing and sun whenever I could get it.  I'd keep sunning them and washing.  You could also try Oxiclean in the wash - we do this sometimes but honestly have never had good luck getting stains out of CDs with it.  Bleach will very likely help - up to you if you want to go that route, as it isn't great for the diapers.

  • I have not tried it yet, but I just ordered some brightener from Yoreganics that I believe is CD friendly...might be worth researching
